This is an edited version of Adam's Synchronological Chart or Map of History.. If I had purchased this one first and didn't know about the Adam's Chart, I would have rated it 5 stars, However, since I've been able to compare the two, I recommend passing by this one and spending the extra $20 or so to get the original edition. This version is big at about 17" tall but the Adam's Chart is a whopping 27" tall (That's over 2 foot tall folks!) Also this version covers about 4000 years of history to about 100 A.D., whereas the Adam's doesn't stop there but continues another 1800 years to 1900 A.D. So basically they just reduced the Adams 10" in height and chopped off almost 2000 years from the end. Both are affordable editions, but the original wins hands down.
I don't have much to add to other reviews except that... I mean, it's unique and cool that it is so large and folds out to such a long detailed timeline. But, this also makes it a bit impractical. I brought it to a Bible study and we had to line up at least six tables end-to-end. It's a keeper, don't get me wrong, but it's not very convenient.
I really like this time chart, it's loaded with information and would make a great must have addition to a church small group. I first found out about this book when my wife bought me one from the Milwaukee Wisconsin Public Museum in May of 2010 where the Dead Sea Scrolls are on display until June 6 2010. My wife bought me the book there for $20 and I liked it so much I wanted to buy some for friends. Since we live in Illinois and did not was to drive to Milwaukee, I decided I'd look on Amazon to see if I could find it and of course I did and even cheaper! The way this book folds out 12 feet or more is not only very useful but very impressive too. This book is well worth the money.
This is a great book to assist those in many aspects of biblical research. The book is physically quite large (approx. 12" X16" x .25" with several pages that fold out )But again the detail of the material in contains will cement the principles or give the reader more depth into various subjects that may have NOT been thought of, or may have questions about that can be given some better information to give the reader a better basis of knollege.

This timeline is by the same man who made the Timechart History of the World. This book has much more detailed Biblical history as well as the timelines of the civilizations that were thriving from 6000 BC until around 90 AD. This book accepts a Biblical chronology and begins with creation.
A terrific reference book. We had purchased this book for ourselves several years ago and really enjoyed it. Now we give it as a gift to friends and family members.
