This is a captivating and engaging Story. One of those stories I find myself staying up late to finish reading. I liked both main characters and I feel the author gave, me as a reader, enough information to get a sense of who they're as characters. I also liked the description of the different societies and cultures, as well as the history behind them.Spoilers alert-Was not so thrilled about the end. I understand there's a sequel coming but as a reader i needed a better closure on Jak's fate. I don't want to wait 1 year or however long it takes for the sequel to come out. I felt there was enough mystery around other things in the book to make me want to read the sequel. For that reason, I gave 4.5 stars instead of 5 stars.
Trying to find book 2. Well developed story about two women with a lot of baggage. Running into one another and having to keep quiet they form a bond while on the run and cement their relationship in the end. Well written as the author took the time to go into her character and show what made them act the way they do. A lesbian romance that is more SciFi than anything else. Highly recommend.
This is a very charming scifi novel with rich details and amazing chemistry between the two leads. It was so good I went ahead and bought books two and three in the trilogy.
This is the first book in the trilogy series of On Deception's Edge book series. An exciting combination of a skilled sniper and questionable legal activities of a profiteer. What could go wrong? Enjoyed the pace of the story as it keeps moving along and I never got bored. Enjoyed the read and recommend this book.
What an amazing sci fi les fic. It had the perfect amount of romance and an amazing amount of action. This is my second time reading the book. I highly recommend the whole series and then reading depths of blue again it's just that good. I've fallen in love with the characters and I will never forget them.
I am saving a bigger review until I finish the trilogy and always rate in the context of the genre and market the book belongs to.I read this from start to finish in one day. Hard to do with three kids - so that shows you how much I enjoyed it! The Sci-fi lesbian reimagining of themes in Twelfh Night was fantastic and made for great tension - both in terms of romance and plot.Read it! It's good.
I did not want to put the book down. Almost done, I have to work.
I was hesitant because I've never read anything by this author. VERY glad I took a chance. Good storyline and editing. Now I'll buy the next book in the series,no question.
