Operations Management made easy with this book. The book is bulky and so was the course load but learned a lot and the book was awesome. There is a lot of calculations involved and the book actually shows how to do them using Linear Programming, Excel and what not. The chapters were well laid out and they kept building on previous chapters so the flow was pretty good. I had a really lazy professor who went to skip a chapter but I stuck with the book and life was a lot easier. The end of chapter solutions are somewhat tricky but if you pay attention, they shouldn't be big deal. The best part of the book is resale price. I bought this book, used it for a whole semester and then traded it in at at least +10% on Amazon. So the book was literally free for me.
This is a scam it does NOT contain an access code even thought it does have too ISBN numbers! Access code is not included.
It helped me get a better grade by reading this along with all the power points from class. My professor was fabulous though, so I could have passed without the book. This is the book for the most failed course at ODU. Read it!! if you are taking OPMT303.
Really liked this textbook and was a little sad that I had to return the rental but we couldn't afford to pay the difference. I really feel like I learned a lot from this book and it wasn't too dry or boring at all. I used McGH Connect with it and he problems weren't too difficult if you had your textbook and notes.I got an A in this class so I was very pleased with it.
Book lacked a lot of guidance on understanding the equations better. Not sure if there are supplemental guides to go with this but found book to not help me in my Grad class and a lot more googling, YouTube videos to help me understand the course more. Just like another reviewer had an awful Professor that was probably one of the culprits at how bad this class was to me.
This is definitely one of the better textbooks I've used. I was surprised to see that the content wasn't over the top academic. Instead, the content aligned well to real world business practices but was still well organized, connected clearly to relevant theories, and was easy to digest.
I liked that it was in English and the problems at the end of the chapters are the same as the U S version. I knew I would be receiving the international version, I was not expecting the monetary values to be India's crores as opposed to £ or $. But the numbers are the same. Thank goodness.
I had to buy this for one of my college classes. It wasn't terrible, but I mean it's a textbook so not the best reading ever.
